The Care Plus Group Charitable Trust recently awarded £629 to Keepers Cottage to take five disabled adults and their carers on a day trip to Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham.
Keepers Cottage is a care home providing personal care and accommodation within a family type setting for two adults with learning disabilities.
Due to Covid the residents have been extremely restricted in their activities and have missed essential social interaction due to the closure and cancellation of provisions such as day services, swimming sessions and disabled disco sessions.
The trip will provide stimulation and entertainment for the adults who all reside together, after a long period of being unable to participate in trips out and activities due to the risk of Covid and associated difficulties in provision.
