Be Great Fitness has received a grant of £1,080 from the Care Plus Group Charitable Trust to help them purchase equipment for their fitness training sessions aimed at young people with learning disabilities in North East Lincolnshire.
The funds will be used to purchase equipment including skipping ropes, hula hoops, training cones, quick ladders, hurdles, tennis balls, hand weights, exercise mats, resistant bands, boxing gloves and a kit bag.
Bailey-Stephen Greetham-Clark, from Be Great Fitness, said: “This is fantastic news! I’m honoured to have received this grant from the Care Plus Group Charitable Trust. This money will make our sessions so much more exciting and is exactly what we need! We had been running our sessions with no equipment until now, but this grant will enable me to improve the quality of sessions for all participants.
“Throughout the pandemic I have been voluntarily providing outdoor Covid secure fitness training to young people of North East Lincolnshire with a learning disability. I have seen the positive effects of this work with the development of personal confidence and fitness, as well as fostering a community of participants reducing social exclusion.”

To date, The Care Plus Group Charitable Trust has provided more than £93,000 to more than 90 community projects across North East Lincolnshire since its inception in 2016.
