At Care Plus Group’s Community Inpatient Unit, colleagues were facing challenges accessing essential equipment quickly during emergencies. With only one clinical room serving two floors and up to 44 patients, nurses often have to run between floors to locate vital items for basic care.
To address this, a plan was proposed to acquire funding from CPG charitable trust, and this was successful in its application to create an additional storage space upstairs for essential nursing supplies such as dressings, catheters, wound care materials, observation tools, and blood equipment.
With funding being granted, this has allowed the purchase of two trollies, ensuring that emergency equipment is organised and ready for immediate use, helping staff deliver faster, safer care when it matters most.
