Charity Funds New Kurling Kit for Little Coates Social Club

The Care Plus Group Charitable Trust was delighted to present members of the Little Coates Wednesday morning pop in group with some New Age Kurling Equipment to replace their old kit.

Trustees of the Charity, Julie Grimmer and Neil Cartwright presented the equipment to members of the Group who were delighted as their old equipment was in very poor repair.

Julie Grimmer, Trustee of the Charitable Trust said:

“We were happy to support the application for new Kurling Equipment for the Little Coates club as we appreciate how valuable equipment such as this is to community groups. Not only will it help members increase their fitness, but they will also be able to join in with other local teams in competitions. Attending events like this allow people to make more friends, broaden their horizons by getting to know about other areas of the town and relieves social isolation.”

Edna Pettitt, who runs the Little Coates Community Centre pop in said:

“We’re really thrilled we’ve got a new set as we do enjoy the game Kurling and we have a laugh. We’d welcome others to come and join us at the pop in, we meet every Wednesday, between 10am and 12noon and have a tea/coffee and a toasted teacake.”
