The Haven Team at Care Plus Group has been awarded £1,742 from the Care Plus Group Charitable Trust to provide care packages and essential item packages to patients.
Based at St Andrew’s Hospice the Haven Team provide a seven day a week, day and night palliative and end of life service to residents of North East Lincolnshire, in the comfort of their own home.
The funds will be used to purchase items including bath and hand towels, flannels, soaps, deodorant, combs, toothbrush, toothpaste, male and female urinals, razors, shaving foam, memory notebooks and much more.
Each patient referred to the Haven Team will be provided with a care package and essential items when required.
Joanne Lander, Haven Team Manager, said: “Thank you to the Care Plus Group Charitable Trust for awarding us the funds to provide patients with care packages and essential item packages. Our service aims to reduce stress and anxiety for patients and those caring for them, so these packages will go a long way in giving people reassurance they have all the necessary day to day essential items needed for patients to be as comfortable as possible in their own homes.”

Since its inception, the Care Plus Group Charitable Trust has provided more than £93,000 to over 90 community projects across North East Lincolnshire.
